Currently in development. A new musical written for a cast of six; a character led narrative which incorporates an eclectic mix of musical styles. This is a passion project, inspired by my own troubling experience of becoming a mum for the first time, together with the real life stories of other women, recorded during a series of workshops.

This rock horror classic was one of my most rewarding and enjoyable shows to date! Working with an impressive creative team, including Matt Mellor (MD) and an insanely talented bunch of actors in training, our production embraced the comedy, delighted in the weirdness, but never lost sight of the underlying humanity and tragedy.

Written as part of Shell Connections, Burn is an ensemble piece telling the story of Joey, an inquisitive, fostered teenager who left behind more questions than he ever asked. The piece flips between two time periods, past and present, as each of his friends tell their part of the story leading up to his death. It is poignant and intense and gives the audience a glimpse into adolescent awkwardness and the search for identity and belonging.

Performed by One Word Theatre Company of Stagecoach Liphook, at The Egg, Bath, as part of the National
Theatre Connections Festival 2018. A play about love, commemoration and protest, which explores themes of identity, sexuality and the struggle to find your voice as a teenager in the LGBT community.

This was one of my first main house productions at The Haymarket Theatre, Basingstoke. My biggest challenge was working with a cast who had never sung on stage before and so, together with Musical Director Mark Helyar, we encouraged the young actors to find their voices, bringing the show to life and paying homage to the spirit and humour of the source with a fresh, inventive feel.

Produced by the Haymarket, and performed at Central Studio, Basingstoke, this was probably one of my most challenging works to date. Our production was set in the midst of the troubles in Northern Ireland, where a British journalist suddenly finds herself surrounded by violence, corruption and torture. It was a brutal and poignant piece, starkly examining what war does to the cultural, physical and emotional infrastructure of a country, its people and its legacy.
